So, it’s week one. We arrived in Addis Ababa, on Sunday, collected our bags, went through customs, and headed, by bus, to our hotel.
Along with lots of training, we are also learning about coffee. Coffee was “discovered” in Ethiopia, as the story goes.
I’m still a strong tea drinker, so don’t worry. The ginger tea game in Ethiopia is on point.
The bulk of our time here has been spent on learning the language. This Saturday, we’re moving to our training site. Once there, we will live with host families.
Today was our first free evening and we were allowed to get dinner on our own. I went for chicken wings, chili fries, and a Coke! Go figure! —GGT
