The elephant seal vista point is located about 5 miles north of the Hearst Castle, along the coast of San Luis Obispo County.

Although I remember going to the Castle, on a summer road trip, during college, I don’t believe that I knew about the elephant seals.

I also didn’t remember the Central California coastline being this amazing. I took a train, from San Francisco to Los Angeles, back in the day. This time, the drive from Los Angeles to the Central Coast gave me the opportunity to really see the area.

There’s no Internet service at the Ragged Point Inn. So, each day, we drive a few miles, up the road, until we get service. This was our latest Internet break.
