I still have no access to the WordPress app.  I can’t change my phone number, to get the code. So, we’re doing this the old fashion way, on my computer.

So, after four years, I was finally able to access my safety deposit box. I now have all my belonging with me. When I fly back to Alaska, next month, I’ll take everything that I own, … one backpack, one small REI duffel bag, and one large Eddie Bauer suitcase. That’s it!

As soon as I get to Alaska, I’ll make a video unpacking my stuff. The Eddie Bauer suitcase is so heavy. I’m taking 60 plus pounds and there’s nothing in it. The suitcase itself is just heavy. I’m only keeping it to use as a trunk, at the foot of my bed, or a nightstand for my computer. Trust me, you’re going to laugh. One would think that after all this travel I’d have more to show for it. I don’t. I really don’t.

I’m thinking now that I should dump most of what I’ve packed. I often send items to the Popular Culture Library at Bowling Green State University. I have a Team Jolie tee shirt, from back in the day. The shirts were sold after Brad Pitt was believed to have cheated on Jennifer Aniston with Angelina Jolie. I have two tee shirts from the 2014 Veronica Mars movie, sent to supporters of the Kickstarter fundraising campaign. Not sure why some of these items were saved or why they’re coming with me to Alaska. Time will tell.

For now, I will leave you with a few passports, visas, and photos of past travels. Like most of you, I’ve been grounded, due to COVID-19. The evcauation from Peace Corps Ethiopia seems like a lifetime ago. It was just March 2020. Not quite my longest time, between international travel, but getting close. Alaska is a great travel substitute. I’m doing another year with AmeriCorps.

In one month, GhettoGirlTravels will go GhettoGirlTiny. I’m looking forward to having my own space and seeing if Tiny House living is right for me. Until then, see you when I see you …GGT
